John F. Kirk has a long and distinguished career within the credit union, banking, and financial services industries. John is an alumnus of Harvard University and the University of Virginia’s Graduate School of Retail Bank Management. Throughout his career, John has enjoyed successful tenures with such notable institutions as CitiCorp, Bank of Boston, San Antonio Federal Credit Union, Certegy Card Services and Alamo Federal Credit Union. At each of these stops, he has developed a wealth of experience and breadth of knowledge that has made him a recognized expert and respected leader within the industry.

John is an executive manager with excellent leadership and team building skills, as well as expertise in cultivating strong teams and business relationships.  Throughout his career, he has developed implemented and overseen innovative sales/marketing and promotional campaigns and built consensus among staff, board of directors, executives, government agencies and vendors.

John has managed work forces in both the banking and credit union industries and is a key player in successfully merging troubled credit unions and making them profitable.  After assignments at Citicorp and Bank of Boston, John was one of the early leaders in developing point of sale lending for the credit union industry; he and his teams introduced credit unions across the country to the art of indirect lending to include automobiles, home equity, home improvement loans and commercial lending.
